Update on Katelyn

We went for our 10 day check-up with Katelyn today. Her Dr. said that she is still showing blood in her urine so we sent off her sample for more extensive testing again to see how bad it was. She has been on anitbiotics for 10 days, so it is possible that we may need to extend that.

On a second note, the Dr. said that these type of severe infections are unusual in children Kate's age, so we will be scheduling an x-ray to take a closer look at her bladder, kidneys and ureter to rule out any congenital or other problems. The x-ray will consist of inserting a catheter and inserting dye to watch the process. Our prayers are that these tests come back clear, and that her infection was a one time problem. We are asking for your prayers as well.
